happy national coffee day!

caffè americano
happy national coffee day everybody! i can't believe it's finally here.  'tis the season to sing coffee carols, hang the coffee wreath, exchange coffee day gifts,  decorate the annual coffee day tree, etc...

ok so truthfully, i just found out today was national coffee day earlier this week.  coffee and i have become good friends in the past year or so, since my regular 8-5 job requires waking up a bit earlier than i would like.  so i thought i'd share my love for this magic little bean and the different ways i like to experience it.

most days i enjoy my free flavia coffee at work.  one of the perks i get for working in a lawyers office.  it's a single serving coffee system much like a k-cup machine, but i think it's much better.  it can even make lattes, cappuccinos, espresso, tea, mochas, and iced drinks.  sure it's not a true espresso machine, but it comes pretty darn close for how quick and easy it is.  so many different flavors to choose from, it's a great little machine!

starbucks is my goto coffee shop when i'm out and about.  i usually get a grande americano, iced americano, or sometimes a java chip frappuccino (i usually feel really guilty when i get one of these cause it's basically a milkshake with a little tiny bit of coffee in it, so they are few and far between)

at home my favorite roast is trader joe's organic fair trade five country espresso blend. (see below)  if you like dark roasts, give this one a try...it's amazing in a french press.  i don't usually add anything to my coffee (straight black please!) so i like coffee that can stand up well on it's own without adding to it.

crazy good
i hope everyone is having a merry coffee day! how do y'all like to enjoy your coffee? favorite local coffee shops / roasts / etc?
